Gambian youngster Yankuba Minteh has been nominated for the Confederation of African Football’s 2024 Young Player of the Year award.
He is competing for the prize alongside rising talents like Senegal’s Africa Cup of Nations star Lamine Camara, as well as Karim Konate of Salzburg, Brighton’s Carlos Baleba, and Aziz Issah of Ghana.
The teenager was recognised by CAF as one of the continent’s best young players after a stellar season with Feyenoord in the Dutch Premier League last year.
Minteh, who joins Brighton in the summer, is in fine form for club and country helping them win crucial matches.
