A 16-year-old girl has died of coronavirus.  The unnamed teenager is the youngest person to have died from the virus in The Gambia. 

Her positive result was only known posthumously after samples taken from her remains were tested, Ministry of Health officials said.

At least 118 people have died of coronavirus since its first emerged in the country in March, forcing tens of thousands of people jobless and closing down businesses.

Four new cases were also recorded, taking the total number of Covid-19 cases in the country to 3,636.
