Twenty-three travellers have been taken into quarantine after returning to the country with no valid negative coronavirus test certificates, Ministry of Health has said.

The 23 were quarantined at the Amdalai Border, about  100 kilometres from Banjul.

Meanwhile four new coronavirus cases have been registered, taking the total number of Covid-19 cases ever confirmed in the country to 3,776.

No coronavirus related death was reported. 

In a similar development health workers are currently attending a WHO funded training programme to help them with sampling collections.
