A tragic car accident in Kotu has claimed the life of a 22-year-old woman identified only as Amie.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when a vehicle, reportedly driven by Amat Ndow, lost control after one of its front wheels dislodged. The car veered off the road and struck three pedestrians.

Amie died at the scene, while the two others sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Police have been contacted for comment as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
