Sixty-Seven people have contracted coronavirus taking The Gambia’s total Covid-19 cases to 1,623, the Ministry of Health has said.

At least 50 people have died from the virus since it emerged in the country in March this year. 

The ministry also added about 85% of the new cases are residents of Western Health Region 1.
