Seven suspects who allegedly attacked police officers have been charged.

The suspects are charged with three counts including conduct prohibition conducive to breach of peace in violation of Section 9 of the Public Order Act, assaulting a police officer in the execution of duty as per Section 230(b) of the Criminal Code, and assault causing actual bodily harm under Section 228 of the Criminal Code.

These suspects were arrested at Mariama Kunda for pelting stones at ACU officers during a rescue mission at the Alkalo’s compound.

They will appear in court on April 15.
