About 71 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in The Gambia, the Ministry of Health has confirmed. 

The new coronavirus patients include 22 female and 49 male between the ages of 5 to 79.

There were no reported coronavirus related deaths. 

Health officials said over 75% of the new cases were detected in people seeking Covid-19 travel certificates. 

The total number of Covid-19 cases confirmed in the country is now 4,090.

The Gambia currently has 32 people in hotel quarantine and 108 active cases.
