A Police station in Bakoteh has been set on fire by angry protesters.
Police officers at the station fled when the angry mob stormed the station. The protesters are street vendors seeking answers on the death of their colleague, Ousman Darboe, after an incident involving the police.
Meanwhile, similar standoff with the police was reported at Serekunda Police Station. According to reports there is a total blackout around Serekunda market as military officers have been deployed to the area to help the riot police keep the peace.
At Serekunda the angry mob say they want to burn down the Serekunda Police Station.
Gambiana tried the Police spokesman but his phones were off.
