A 19-year-old Gambian migrant has been arrested on suspicion of drug possession after Italian police found the illegal substances following a search.
The suspect, identified as Modou Bojang, was arrested in Cefalu, a town in Sicily, Northern Italy.
He was found to have been in possession of three sticks of hashish, according to a statement from the Italian Carabinieri , the local police.
They said the raid was carried out by a team of officers from Cefalu and Modou Bojang was arrested after a trip from Palermo.
Two other Italians, James Cadeh Burty, 29, and Giuseppe Taormina, 27, were also arrested during the drug raid in the Ballarò district.
The Italian police say other arrests were made in Cinisi, Monreale (Manfredi Lo Presti) and Sperone district (Pietro Lauricella).
They say several illegal drugs including hashish, marijuana and cocaine were seized in the raid.
Italy has recently eased its nationwide lockdown after the devastating impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
