Brikama Magistrates’ Court has sent Muhammed Bah and Ebrima Kebbeh to jail after they were found guilty of two counts of burglary.

The men were arrested last week by Police after breaking into the VIP lounge at the Banjul International Airport. 

The court’s charge sheet shared with the media read: “On count one, they were sentenced to one-year mandatory jail term without any option of a fine. On Count two, they were sentenced to a fine of D10,000 in default to serve two years imprisonment.”

The men are to return to court to face other charges relating to thefts in Babylon, Lamin and Yundum.
