At least 83,000 Gambian households are to receive government support estimated at 31 million dollars.
According to the government the support is for poor and vulnerable households amid the coronavirus pandemic. A large chunk of the beneficiaries are said to be from rural Gambia.
“A 31-million-dollar project is officially launched by the government of The Gambia to help vulnerable households in rural Gambia,” Minister of Information and Communications Ebrima Sillah said.
