The Gambia government through its Ministry of Tourism has lifted the mandatory quarantine for arriving passengers.

The announcement on Friday comes a week after the ministry said this year’s tourists season will start in October despite the surge in coronavirus cases in the country.

A directive document signed by the ministry’s permanent secretary, Cody L Jabang-Senghore, states:

“Arriving Passengers will no longer be subjected to quarantine.

“Arriving Passengers in possession of Negative Covid Test Certificate of not more than 72 hours will not be tested in The Gambia.”
