The Gambian leader Adama Barrow has vowed to massively defeat his opponents in the 2021 presidential election.
Speaking at a rally in Sibanor as part of his Meet-the-People tour, the president said: “2021 will [make] everything clear. You know we made them [the opposition] have a taste [of what’s coming] in Niamina and Jokadu. But they have not seen anything until when it’s [the 2021 presidential] election.”
Mr Barrow slammed the opposition for branding his tour as a waste of state resources, adding: “Even my tour, they’re condemning it saying it’s not good and I’m wasting money.
“The tour I embarked on last year benefited this country… It’s Gambians who put us here and we must go and talk to them, for them to tell us what they want.”
