Businessman Bubacarr Keita has been sent back to prison after the Court of Appeal revoked his bail on Wednesday.

Mr Keita, 29, is accused of raping his ex-wife’s 16-year-old sister. He denies the allegation. 

The Justice ministry launched the appeal after the High Court granted him bail.

After the ruling Mr Keita took to social media to ask for prayers. 

He wrote: “The Court of Appeal has revoked my bail today at the high court in Banjul, heading back to custody. Prayers needed! To my daughters and mom, I love you.”
