Gambia Democratic Congress leader Mama Kandeh has told President Adama Barrow to seek legal advice from his justice minister before taking any action against him and ordinary Gambians.

Kandeh was responding to Barrow’s threats of using the law if he continues to allow exiled former president Jammeh to speak at his campaign rallies.

He opposition leader said he will not heed the president’s warning.

Speaking at Sarre Sait Biram, Kandeh said: “I heard him showing off that he had used teargas on Gambian citizens and said if quarrel stays longer there is yet to be a fight and added that since he fought with Three Years that the group has died.

“I am also waiting for Adama Barrow to kill me. But what I am telling him is that Adama knows and I, Mama knows that Adama knows Mama when it gets in tough action I will not retreat.

“If GDC does something against the law that is between GDC and the IEC but not Adama Barrow.

“If he doesn’t know the law, let him ask those people who know the law. Since GDC was formed we have never violated the law, it’s him who violated the law.

Kandeh added: “He is the one making the law and in turn violates the law, because we are citizens and we are respecting the laws.

“If he doesn’t know the law, let him ask his justice minister about the law. We didn’t violate any law and we will accept if we are wrong.”
