President Adama Barrow has launched an attack on opposition leaders saying they don’t know how a country is govern.
Speaking at a rally in Sibanor, President Barrow said: “It’s very easy for someone to come and stand before you and tell you: I will do this and that because talk is cheap. But if they come to you, ask them how they will do these developments.
“Ask them where they will get the funding for the developments, they are telling you because they don’t even know how the government gets funds.”
“They don’t even know how the country’s economy operates. In fact, if someone comes and promises you that he will bring you development, observe him for his physical looks,” he added.
Barrow described the forthcoming presidential election as very important for the country’s history, adding it’s an election for Gambians to decide on their future.
“This is a very important election and is an election for you to decide for progress and development and retrogress and underdevelopment.
“There is a ballot drum which is good at fabricating false statements against people and that ballot drum is the yellow ballot drum,” he said.
“But there is a ballot drum which has brought you rice and oil and sugar, and donated cash to every compound head and I think you should recognise that ballot drum because that’s ballot drum is for The Gambia’s progress and is the ballot drum which will bring Gambians together and that’s President Adama Barrow’s ballot drum,” he added.
