Mama Kandeh, leader of Gambia Democratic Congress, has dismissed as “pure lie” reports that he will be meeting president-elect Adama Barrow at State House today.

Kandeh, who finished third in the presidential election, has so far refused to concede defeat and alleged irregularities without providing evidence to support his claim.

“The news making round that the Secretary General and Party leader of the GDC Hon. Mama Kandeh will be meeting President Adama Barrow today Saturday 25th December is absolutely false and misleading.

“I just got hold of Hon. Mama Kandeh and he is unaware of this development and he has sent a word to those peddling this lie that that they can continue waiting for him,” said the party’s national youth president Momodou MC Cham.
