Two hundred and six people have tested positive for coronavirus as three covid positive patients escaped from the treatment centre.
“Three cases absconded from Covid-19 treatment centers. Twelve, 18, 24, 67 and 85 cases were reported on the 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th & 31st respectively,” the Ministry of Health said in its 414th national situation report.
“The test positivity rate is 12.47% and one Covid patient is currently on oxygen therapy.
“Twenty-eight cases were discharged after at least 10 days from the day they tested positive but evaded institutional isolation and eight from Covid-19 treatment centres,” the ministry added.
“As of 28th December 2021, the following number of people have been vaccinated with: Johnson & Johnson first dose (239,754 people); Sinopharm first dose (4,505 people), second dose (3,317 people) AstraZeneca first dose (40,68 people) second dose (28,560 people),” it said.
There were no reported Covid-19 related deaths and the country’s official Covid death toll stands at 343.
