Gambia national team Scorpions today left the town of Buea, in the south west region of Cameroon, for Baffussam ahead of their clash with Guinean Conakry.

Scorpions will face Guinea on Monday in the round of 16 at the Kouekong Stadium.

Gambia finished second Group F with same 7 points as Mali, only a goal difference separates the teams. 

Debutant Gambia have won lots of fans and admirers with their incredible display at the continental tournament.

At 150th, the lowest ranked team in the competition, The Gambia had punched above their weight by beating former AFCON champion Tunisia and holding a very experienced Mali team to a draw. 

The team which had already made history will break more records if they beat Guinea Conakry in the knockout stages.
