Gambian president Adama Barrow will on Saturday lead hundreds of ruling National People’s Party in a cleaning exercise in Banjul.
NPP spokesman and deputy speaker of Parliament Seedy Njie said the president is embarking on the exercise to “reclaim Banjul City to its former glory”.
“The National People’s Party (NPP) under the visionary leadership of the Secretary General and Party Leader, His Excellency President Adama Barrow, shall organise a cleaning exercise (set settal) dubbed “Operation Clean Banjul” this Saturday 25 June 2022,” Njie said.
“All NPP party executive members, militants, supporters and sympathisers are hereby urged to come out in their thousands and join His Excellency the President in this this worthwhile venture of “Operation Clean Banjul” exercise.
“The event will start at 10:00 a.m. from the Albert Market to Ports, Hagan Street, Half Die, Quadrangle, Arch 22 through Allen Street and other places,” he added.
