Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency arrested Bintou Jaiteh, 25, and six other men including 21-year-old Senegalese national, Omar Faal with suspected drugs.

“A 29-year-old Baboucarr Jallow was arrested at Nemakunku on 2July 2022 around 21:55 hours GMT onwards with three big bundles, six medium bundles and 33 parcels of suspected cannabis.  

“On 3 July 2022 around 07:00 hours GMT onwards, 39 years old Famara Ceesay of Pakalinding village was arrested at Kalagi village with nine bundles of suspected cannabis sativa. He was onboard a commercial vehicle heading towards Brikama.

“51-year-old Sainey Lusack of Brikama Perseverance was arrested at Brikama on 3 July 2022 around 11:00 hours GMT onwards with three big bundles of suspected cannabis sativa.  

“21-year-old Omar Faal, a Senegalese national residing at Ndarr (Senegal) was arrested at Mayamba village on 4 July 2022 around 12:14 hours GMT onwards with one big bundle of suspected cannabis sativa,” the agency said.

Meanwhile, it added: “30-year-old Lamin Tunkara and 25-year-old Bintou Jaiteh were arrested at Kinteh Kunda and Marong Kunda on 4 July 2022 around 22:20 hours GMT onwards with 13 parcels and 50 wraps of suspected cannabis sativa. 

“46-year-old Alagie Njie was arrested at Daru Rewan in the North Bank Region with 38 wraps of suspected cannabis sativa.”
