Former State House driver Mansa Sumareh, who intends to run for Brikama Area Council chairmanship in 2023, has slammed past chairmen for failing to bring developments to the people of the region.
“Almost 36 chairmen had been in the Brikama Area Council but none of them has brought development which the people of West Coast can praise them for.
“There are communities within the West Coast who are still stuck in the condition which have been here since 1965 and we want to stop that,” he said.
“Let no one ask me whether Mansa is educated or not but what I know is I have the quality to run that office. Because I will not get myself an office, what I will do is to go to the market and the river side and tour the communities,” he added.
“People are suffering and people are tired now and I have seen nothing that can stop me from contesting this coming election.
“What I want to urge the people of the west coast region is that let them look at whether this person is educated or not, despite that education is important and I have trust in my education,” he said.
