Friends of the Gambia Association has delivered food packages to flood victims in Sanyang.
About 30 families in the town whose houses were destroyed by the recent floods benefited from the donation.
The food packages included rice, pasta,, ataya tea, chocolate, mayonnaise, hot sauce, sugar, tomato, mustard, coffee, ketchup.
Members of the organisation delivered the packages last Friday (August 12).
The organisation, which was founded nine years ago by a group of Spaniards, has been helping Gambians and supporting the country’s vital services such as hospitals, farms and schools.
One of the founding members of the organisation Jose Luis Flores told Gambiana that they have brought doctors, surgeons, dentists, nurses from Spain to help the Gambian population receive treatments.
