A high court in Banjul has today freed young business tycoon of rape charge after two years of legal battle.

Bob Keita was standing trial for allegedly raping his ex-wife’s younger sister resulting in pregnancy. 

However, the state today the State filed a Nolle prosequi against Bubacar Keita which means that the prosecution is not proceeding with the case.

Hundreds of Bob Keita’s fans celebrated the court verdict, as a good number of other Gambians both at home and abroad to social media to welcome his aquittal.
