Abdoulie Fatty has welcomed the release of his client, Momodou Sabally, from police detention.

Sabally was held at the Police Intervention Unit in Kanifing for eleven days over a viral TikTok video suggesting that president Adama Barrow would be overthrown before next year’s local elections.

Speaking to Gambiana, Abdoulie Fatty expressed dismay about the violations of his client’s rights.

He said: “I am very happy that my client has been released unconditionally but I am not happy about the violations of his rights.”

Mr Fatty also urged Gambians to speak up against injustice, adding “let’s work together to stop it.”
