Ebrima Mballow, former interior minister, has died suddenly in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. 

Mballow was serving as The Gambia’s Consul General in Jeddah. 

“Fellow Gambians, I just received the sad news of the demise of my Consul General in Jeddah Mr Ebrima Mballow.

“I pray that Allah the Almighty grant him Jaanah Firdaus and give his family the fortitude to bear this loss,” President Adama Barrow wrote on Twitter.
