Sheriff Sarr, national assembly member for Jeshwang, has refuted accusation that he sidelined and ignored his constituents telephone calls.

Some of his constituents in Jeshwang have recently complained that their lawmaker is no more picking their calls after voting him in office.

However, in his reaction to the claim, MP Sarr said “that is not true. If anyone says I am ignoring their calls that does not happen. I am always in the parliament and parliamentary service is not easy, and sometimes I will get dozens of calls which after session I can’t return all the calls.”

“I am definitely representing my people in parliament and I am fighting and lobbying for them. And a big development package is coming for them which will be on roads and gutters.

Mr Sarr continued: “Let’s call a spade a spade, all those [people] complaining are complaining about their personal problems.

“Even if I have a house of cash some people will still complain. So, they should stop saying such against me. Let’s come together as one people in the constituency to bring developments and stop saying that I am ignoring their calls and not interested in them anymore.”

“We are doing our best and we will continue to do our best. I am always there in the National Assembly for them.

“They should know that parliament service isn’t easy, but they know my home, they can come to my house. So, I am seeking forgiveness from them and I have forgiven them all,” he added.
