Gambian international referee Bakary Papa Gassama has donated food parcels including rice, sugar and dates to students and teachers of Gambia College in Brikama.

The donated items are meant to support students and teachers living during this holy month of Ramadan.

“We appreciate the gesture and it will take us a long way especially during this holy month of Ramadan,” Mbye Jeng, one of the students told Gambiana on telephone. 

“This is a great gesture and really appreciated by the students, heads of school and senior staff. Thank you so much Papa,” Mustapha Bittaye added. 

The school administration also expressed happiness about the donated items and thanked Gassama for the gesture.
