Gambia have beaten South Sudan 3-2 to put their African Nations Cup campaign back on track. 

The Scorpions are now second in Group G behind Mali, with 9 points.

The team earned an early goal after South Sudan defender mistakenly sent the ball into his own net

South Sudan fought back to level the score line through their forward Valentino Yuel in the 21 minutes.

But Gambian Ablie Jallow 62 minutes dribbled past two Bright Star players before sending a screamer from 25 yards. 

However, the South Sudan’s Bright stars fought back to level the scores as the two sides fought hard to secure in a win. 

Gambia’s Hamza Barry scored the winner for Gambia in the last minutes of the game.
