The Gambia has made a significant improvement in the latest FIFA ranking standing at 119th place globally and 29th in Africa.

The remarkable progress reflects the team’s consistent performance and recent victories in the AFCON qualifiers against Mali and South Sudan.

“We are thrilled to announce that The Gambia’s national football team has achieved an impressive rise in the FIFA Ranking for men. The Gambia has now reached the 119th position in the world ranking and an outstanding 29th position in Africa,” a statement from The Gambia Football Federation said.

“The Gambia’s ascent in the FIFA Ranking is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and talent of the players, as well as the exceptional management of the team. 

“Their relentless efforts on the field have propelled the nation forward in the world of football, and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements,” the statement added.
