Antonio Rüdiger, German and Real Madrid defender, has told Gambian wonderkid Adama Bojang to believe and commit himself to hard work as he sets to move and play in Europe.
Rüdiger made the advice to Bojang while in The Gambia to launch a family-owned company, Senes Group, which makes milk powder and detergent products.
“You are a good footballer and almost everyone talks about you here (Gambia) this shows how special you’re. These comes with rules and principles that you needs to abide by.
“To make it out here, definitely tells me you are determine but please don’t do the mistake by going to Europe, and then start to rest because the job starts now. And you really need to believe in yourself and do what you can do,” he told Adama Bojang.
“As African, you don’t do it for yourself. You’re about to be a role model, so your behaviour will definitely inspire the young ones, and make yourself and parents proud and stay healthy.
“One day we might play against each other. Even though I’m not a Gambian but we are all Africans and I really want young Africans to grow,” he added.
