Police have arrested a Senegalese man, Yankuba Mane in Farafenni for allegedly buying stolen goats from thieves.
“The police in Farafenni have arrested Yankuba Mane, a Senegalese national residing in Farafenni, for allegedly engaging in the business of purchasing stolen goats from thieves in the area.
“Prompted by a police intelligence report, an intensive surveillance operation was initiated to monitor Mane’s activities. The suspect followed a distinctive pattern in which his accomplices (the thieves) would transport the stolen goats to a hidden depot.
“From there, Mane would then acquire the stolen livestock for further illicit transactions. The operation led to his arrest at the said depot, where he was found in possession of five goats,” the police said.
