I-Care Optics Limited has opened a new branch in Brikama in a bid to combating eye diseases in the country.
The opening ceremony brought together community leaders including Brikama Imam and representative of the town’s chief.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Muhammad Alam, chief executive officer of I-Care Optics, said the new office branch will provide accessible and affordable eye services to the community and its surrounding towns and villages.
“One of our goals is to eliminate blindness in The Gambia and ensure the eyes of all are healthy,” he told the gathering.
He added:”As usual we will continue to provide effective and efficient eye services and quality spectacles to our customers. We will also continue to contribute to national development through youth employment, payment of tax and providing social corporate responsibility to the public.”
For her part, Awa Njie-Conteh, marketing manager for I-Care Optics touts the office objective as geared towards improving eye care for the Gambian people.
“As it is common knowledge that majority of the Gambian population are dealing with eye complications, I-Care Optics is the solution to reduce blindness to it lowest rate in The Gambia,” she said.
