President Adama Barrow has assured government full support to Gambians in Morocco amidst a deadly earthquake.
Morocco has been rocked by 7.2 magnitude earthquake on Friday night that left about 800 people dead. But no Gambian is reported among the casualties.
Barrow extended his prayers and condolences to the Kingdom of Morroco on the “devastating impact of the massive earthquake, resulting in the loss of lives and property”.
“In the same vein, I am thankful to Allah that our Gambian players and staff of the GFF are safe and awaiting further directives from the Moroccan authorities and CAF.
“My government assures Gambians in the kingdom of Morocco that we are watching and monitoring situations in the region,”Barrow said in a statement.
