Seventeen Gambian trucks impounded in Guinea Bissau have been finally released, the Gambia government has said in a statement.
“Based on the cordial bilateral and fraternal relationship between the two Heads of State, President Adama Barrow, upon receipt of the news, quickly dispatched a Gambian delegation comprising Foreign Minister Momodou Tangara, Trade Minister Baboucarr Joof and the Director for Regional Integration and Head of ECOWAS National Office, Ms. Ndeye Tabara Touray to Bissau.
“After a successful conclave with President Embaló, the impounded Gambian vehicles were released unconditionally,” Ebrima G. Sankareh, government spokesman & presidential diaspora adviser said.
