Two passengers – man and woman – have been hospitalised for sustaining bodily injuries after a bus and a mini truck head-on collision around Sare Modou village.
Eyewitnesses said the bus was heading to the Kombos from Basse while the mini truck was heading to Bansang.
“Thank God, no one lost a life. Only two people, a man and a woman sustained injuries and they are rushed to the hospital for medication,” one of the eyewitnesses told Gambiana.
A video of the accident seen by Gambiana showed the mini truck badly wrecked on the roadside while the damaged blue bus is parked on the opposite side of the road.
The south bank road stretching from the Kombos down to Basse is one of the highways prone to deadly road accidents.
