The Gambia’s Attorney General and Justice Minister, Dawda A Jallow, today faced lawmakers in a bid to seek their support on a pension bill for former presidents.

The bill was introduced to the National Assembly earlier this week. 

The propose bill will allow the government to pay all former presidents of The Gambia a monthly payment as part of their pension benefits as well as pay for the upkeep of administrative staff and security personnel during their lifetime.
