Two men including a final year English student at the University of The Gambia have died after a boat carrying football players in Niumi capsized. 

The dead have been identified as Nama Sarr and Abdoukarim Njie.

The boat is reported to have been plying from Kerr Sanyang to Jinak in Lower Niumi District.

According to an eyewitness, Nama Sarr who was a final year English student at the University of The Gambia lifeless body was found and taken to Essau hospital while Abdoukarim Njie is still missing.
