Hundreds of Gambian migrants escaped death after Tunisian Police officers were alleged to have set their camp on fire.
This followed the alleged killing of a Gambian migrant, Muhammad Ceesay, few days ago by Tunisian Police while four other migrants remained missing after they taken into custody.
Speaking to Gambiana, Italy-based Gambian migrants rights activist, Ebrima Drammeh said:”the Tunisian security officers attacked a camp sheltering 500 Gambian migrants.”
However, he added none of them were arrested as they all fled the tragic scene in the hands of north African nation’s police officers.
“The police burnt all their camp including food stuffs and belongings,” he said.
