A Western Union worker who was brutally stabbed to death at Westfield has been named as Fatoumatta Kargbo.
The victim was pronounced dead at the Kanifing General Hospital following the vicious attack on Friday afternoon.
Speaking to Gambiana, Ramatoulie Jammeh one of the eyewitnesses and a neighbour of the deceased said the attacker entered the bureau during Friday prayer time pretending to change some money.
“The attacker entered the bureau acting like someone trying to change money during Jumma prayer and he tried to rob it. But the girl insisted. So, that was when we heard the girl screaming for help that he was killing me,” she told Gambiana in tears.
She described the victim as “a good neighbour and she was disciplined and respectful. I was shocked when I heard that she was killed by a robber.”

Police have launched a murder investigation while the alleged killer is taken to hospital after attempting to commit suicide by stabbing himself.
