Police have arrested a driver for failing to stop after hitting an officer on duty at the Sukuta-Jabang area on Thursday (25 January).

The police said the 47-year-old driver was successfully arrested and is presently in custody. 

“Legal proceedings will be initiated, and he will face charges in court,” the police said. 

The public and drivers especially, are strongly urged to prioritise adherence to traffic regulations, particularly speed limits within residential areas.
