Lamin Kaba Bajo, president of Gambia Football Federation, has said that he prefers a Gambian coach to replace Tom Saintfiet who resigned after Scorpions woeful AFCON tournament.
“I want a Gambian coach for the national team. It will make me proud to have a Gambian coach that’s what we want,” he said.
However, he added but so many Gambian coaches do not havea UEFA Pro license or CAF A license.
“We do not have coaches that have it, this is why I am so happy to see Abdou TBoy Jammeh doing his license and we are contributing to it financially.
“If he has the license and wants to become a national team coach, of course I would give him the opportunity. That’s why I am investing in it.”
“We want a Gambian coach that’s why when I took over as president I gave Sang Ndong the opportunity,” he added.
