Police have apprehended three Nigerians with suspected million dollar counterfeit notes in Wulinkama.
Police raided the suspects house after a tip-off.
“During a thorough search, officers found counterfeit cash amounting to seven thousand eight hundred USD ($7,800) and three boxes containing $4.65 million black papers for printing suspected counterfeit money,” police said.
Several other items including mobile phones, laptops, tablets, and boxes, sealed with the Red Cross emblem and UN tags labeled “they should not be inspected“ were discovered, police added.
The suspects, identified as Prince Michael Adeleke Osindeinde, Kafayat Omobolanle Adeshhina, and an 11-year-old boy (whose identity was not revealed, were arrested and escorted to the Kanifing PIU camp for further investigation.
