Police have launched an investigation after a decomposed human remains was found next to a grave at the Sukuta cemetery. 

The remains was suspected to have been exhumed. 

Officers alongside personnel from the Ministry of Health on Monday visited the cemetery in Sukuta. 

“Investigations was conducted with the help of healthcare experts and  elders of the mosque committee. Preliminary investigations revealed  that the said remains was of a corpse buried by the Sukuta Mosque Committee months ago,” police said. 

“The body though decomposed revealed no sign of missing body parts. The head was detached but found at the scene.”
