At least 16 people have been arrested with prohibited drugs including Kush, ecstasy, hashes and cannabis.

The Drug Law Enforcement Agency said in a statement yesterday that its officers arrested a 37-year-old Guinean national, Ebrima Bangura, residing at Jambur with two big bundles of suspected cannabis sativa concealed in cement papers and placed inside a multicolour nylon bag.

According a statement from the Drug Law Enforcement Agency, all suspects were arrested at various locations with the prohibited drugs. 

The arrested suspects included a Guinean Ebrima Bangura, Morris Konateh, a Sierra Leonean, Modou Sheriff Bah, a Senegalese, Lamin Jammeh, Ebrima Jallow, Ebraham Jones, Balla Manneh, Lamin Jallow, Abdoulie Cham, Ebrima Sanneh, Abdoulie Baldeh, Alpha Jallow, Musa Ceesay, and Saikou Kanteh, who are all Gambian national. 

“All the suspects are currently in custody while further investigations continue,”Drug Law Enforcement Agency said in a statement.
