Police have arrested Abdou Kadir Barry who is accused of stabbing to death Amadou Jallow, 20, at Banjulinding.

The suspect has been on the run since he was declared wanted by police following the tragic incident. 

In a statement, the Gambia Police said: “the alleged murderer, Abdou Kadir Barry, involved in the stabbing of Amadou Jallow that led to his death on July 19 at Banjulinding Upper and Senior Secondary School, was arrested.”

“The alleged murder weapon has been recovered. Meanwhile, the police express appreciation for the collaborative efforts of the public in the ongoing investigation,” it added.
