The Gambia U-17 team is gearing up for a crucial clash against Liberia, following the disqualification of three teams from the tournament due to age cheating.

Sierra Leone, Guinea-Bissau, and Guinea Conakry have been expelled from the championship by CAF, paving the way for the remaining teams Gambia, Mali, Senegal, and Mauritania.

With the tournament now adopting a league format, the five remaining teams will compete against each other, with the top two qualifying for the CAF TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations.

The Baby Scorpions will take on Liberia tomorrow, October 21, at 6 PM at Stade Lat Dior in Thies.

In their second match, Yahya Manneh’s side will face hosts Senegal on October 24 at 3 PM, followed by encounters against Mauritania and Mali in match days three and four, respectively.
