Police in the Upper River Region (URR) have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with the killing of his 60-year-old biological father in Kerewan Badala.

The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday (December 4) when the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim, inflicting severe injuries.

The victim was rushed to Basse Hospital for urgent medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries early this morning.

Authorities confirmed that the murder weapon was recovered at the scene.

The suspect is currently in police custody and assisting with the ongoing investigation.

Residents are urged to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
