The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) and Vista Bank Gambia Ltd. have entered into a three-year sponsorship agreement to support the domestic men’s first division league competition.

The agreement, signed on Wednesday, commits Vista Bank to providing the GFF with an annual sponsorship of 2.5 million dalasis over the next three years.

The signing ceremony took place at the Bank’s Head Office on Kairaba Avenue, attended by key representatives from both institutions.

The partnership was formalized by the President of the GFF, Lamin Kaba Bajo, and the managing director of Vista Bank Gambia Ltd., Eric Obeng Saah.

Speaking at the event, president Bajo hailed the agreement as a significant step towards professionalising the domestic men’s top-flight league ahead of the 2025/26 season.

He expressed optimism about the partnership’s potential to alleviate some of the financial challenges faced by the Federation.

“This milestone is a testament to our commitment to elevating Gambian football,” he remarked, adding that he hopes the collaboration will continue to strengthen in the coming years.

Eric Obeng Saah, managing director of Vista Bank, described the partnership as a long-standing and fruitful relationship. He highlighted the Bank’s dedication to supporting football infrastructure development in The Gambia and commended President Bajo’s open-door leadership style, which has fostered collaboration.

In his closing remarks, deputy managing director Alkali Bah echoed the sentiments of his MD, emphasising Vista Bank’s enthusiasm for contributing to the growth of football in the country.

As part of this sponsorship agreement, the men’s first division league will now be officially named The GFF First Division League Vista Bank Baluwo Official Partners, marking a new era in Gambian football.
