BST Galaxy FC ends the Petroleum Boys Fortune FC’s five-match winning streak by a 2-1 victory in the GFF Week Seven match played at the Brikama Mini Stadium.  

Musa Njie scored an early goal in the 4th minute to give BST Galaxy FC a dream start against Fortune, the league’s most informed team. 

Bakary Jatta doubles BST Galaxy FC’s lead from a counter-attack penetrating Fortune FC defence to increase his side tally to 2-0. Bakary Jawara pulled one back for Fortune in the 90+3 but it was not enough to spark a comeback draw for the Petroleum Boys.  

Fortune FC’s miserable day worsened when the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) released a statement that Team Rhino FC had won its protest against Fortune FC for playing an ineligible player in their Week Five fixture. Team Rhino was awarded 3 points and 3 goals while the Organising Committee forfeited 3 points and 3 goals from Fortune FC. 

Meanwhile, Assan Corr scored a stunning goal to seal a 1-0 victory for Real De Banjul against Banjul United, thus compounding the latter’s miserable starts in the league.
